I am considering a 50x4 @ 4ohms 4 Channel amp. I have a set of 6.5" Focal component set and am lookong to add another pair of Diamond or Focals in the rear of the car. Is the PPI A404.4 series still a wise purchase or is there a better option? Please Let me know.
Loud Subwoofers only, do not make a quality car audio system, especially when they are worth more than your "car"

If you are looking at PPI amps, I would say to go with the Powerclass models. I am referring to the ones that came out in 1998. These are some of the best amps ever put out by PPI. Only thing better was the original ProMos series. As for the Powerclass, I currently own 7 of them and will be using 4 myself, and the other 3 are for a friends vehicle. As for the ProMos series, I have 4 of those that are brand new and have never been installed. Still trying to figure out a system with them.
As far as your 4 channel amps you are looking at, I am sure you are looking at a few that are on ebay, not bad for price, but you are also looking at amps that are extremely old and $200 is kinda high. Still a good deal either way you look at it since the older PPI amps are the only ones worth a $hit!
Good luck and hope you find one that works for you.
