Well, I called the mechanic this evening, and he said he already knew about that weird wiring. He said he paid attention to that, and made sure he did it correctly. I guess he is going to talk to a guy who installs these sorts of things for GM vehicles to see if this is something vehicle specific.

I appreciate all the help you guys have provided so far. Let me know if you have any more suggestions.

Well, I guess all that didn't matter anyhow. Yesterday I was in an accident and the Grand Am was totaled. So, the keyless entry is the least of my worries right now. Thanks for all your help, it was greatly appreciated.
