I have a 96 Chrysler Sebring (that used to have the infinity system) and I installed new speakers, amp, headunit. Now the ignition wire won't work for the headunit. I tested it with a multimeter. It should be RED / white wire, but nothing works. Any thoughts?

I suggest using a wiring harness so you needn't cut any wires. These are a saviour as well when selling the car if you keep the system.
your RED / wht is a speaker lead. blue is ignition/switched

Thanks for in the info, but my Sebring is different. That is for the normal wires, I have that stupid infinity system. Also I know that since I have no solid red nor blue cable(i looked up on other sites for the diagrams). I have tested the wires with a multimeter and only verifed the constant 12v(pink and white). Thats why I was wondering how I can fix the ignition wire. All the help is very appreciated.

Take the switched ignition from the steering column ( BLACK/ WHITE ) and run a wire from the HU to this wire.
