Apparently, I matched the wrong resistance when bypassing the passlock system. So now the security light is flashing which means the car won't start.
My question is, now that I have removed my passlock bypasser, how do I reset the "security light?" Do I just leave the key in on ON for a half hour like I have read, or is there a reset switch somewhere?

Well, leabing the key in for about 10 minutes fixed the flashing security light, I am now just trying to match the resistance values corectly.

are you using one of those dip-switch setting units that run in series with passlock?  if so, I'd advise against it.  two in a row were TOWED back to the shop a few seasons ago cause the unit failed, and took out the passlock signal, so the car didn't even run with the key.

we now use either PL2003 or PLDATA (whichever is most available from suppliers), as they merely "tap into" the passlock system, and don't run "between".  if it ever failed, remote start wouldn't work, but the key would.  MUCH happier that way!!  PLDATA won't work on cavaliers and sunfires....PL2003 works on everything passlock I and II...
