how do i program a 555f

ok i am putting in a rs on my 2000 mustang. i got the dei 555f and the thing is not working. i talked to a local install shop, and all they said to do was to put the thing on the ring surrounding the ignition switch and turn the ignition on to program it. then i keep hearing i need two keys to program it. i am totally lost here HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

the ring is very sesetive to where you place it! The reason you were told to use both keys was that some keys learn and some keys don't. make shure all connections are soldered!I think you have to try remote starting the vehicle with the key in the igniton fot the 555f to learn.

You do need both keys to program the 555f.  Here is how you do it.  Put first key in, turn to run (not start), theft light comes on, goes out, turn key off,  Wthin five seconds insert second key, turn to run (not start), theft light goes on, goes out, turn key off.  Request a remote start, make sure all of your connections are done.  And whallllaaa, your done.
