hmm weird that the note i had when working on this truck... i can't exactly remember if this was a coil pack system, another search turned up white at the coil... but not sure about that one. You can try some of the wires at the back of the cluster if it has a tach... I'm at a lost... i would try near the coilpack if there is one. I remember it being there at the PCM... just a lotta wires....

Well if all else fails, you can break out a chilton or haynes manual and look there.

hrm, was wondering if i would find what i was looking for in a chiton's, got one of those for that car, maybe i'll look there...
If anyone else has any ideas, i would really appreciate them as well

Try the yellow wire on connector C1 pin 31 off the ECM.  This is the 3X crankshaft sensor signal wire.  Should work.
