Okay I have just been look on the rockford website they do a 501Bd single channel amp, 500W RMS @ 2ohm how would I wire 2 x 2Ohm DVC subs to the amp?

Cheers

Yes, that's exactly the amp you need.

Wiring the two dual-2-ohm subs is easy, it's called "series/parallel" because you are wiring each subwoofer's two voice coils in series (in one voice coil, out that one into the next, then back out)... essentially  you are putting a jumper wire across from one VC's + to the other's -, leaving one + on one VC free, and one - on the other voice coil free.

And then you are wiring the two subwoofers (using their remaining free + and - terminals) in parallel with respect to each other, simply by wiring all the + terminals together (on the same wire, or voltage potential), and doing the same to all the - wires.
In wiring each sub in series, you are effectively creating two 4 ohm single VC subs.  In wiring the two subs together in parallel, you are effectively creating a single 2 ohm load for your amplifier to push... which is exactly what that 501bd wants. 2 x Rockford amps and capacitor? - Page 2 -- posted image.

This is "series/parallel":
