Recently worked on a 2001 Toyota Sequoia installing security with keyless entry.  Vehicle had 5 separate door trigger wires and I tried to use diodes as recommended, but could not figure why I could not get them to work.  I tested each tigger with a mulitmeter.  I first tried installing the diodes with the bands facing the doorpins and the alarm could not see the doors.  So I reversed them and the alarm thought that the doors were always open, even with them closed.  AM MISSING SOMETHING HERE, I mean diodes are not terribly complicated to figure out!?!   Any help would be great and many thanks in advance.

Are you using the right door trigger wire on the alarm ? Most systems come with a + and a - trigger wire to attach to the vehicle.
