Hello, I want to install the clifford matrix 3.5 in my 2001 jeep cherokee. I want to get all of the parts before I start installing. I was wondering what modules do I need. I think I need 455J that will roll my windows up and arm disarm the factory security system. I also need 555 to bypass the key security but I am not sure If i need the 555C which is for Chrysler or 555U which is universal. Thanks for help.

The 455J does not operate your windows, it will control your door locks, door trigger, dome light supervision, and factory arm/disarm. I think it is very handy to have, makes the install go alot faster.
If you wanted to control your windows you would two DEI part number 530T (one for front and one for back). With these two mods you could control alll four of your windows up and down.
Do you have a gray key? If not you do not need a bypass. If you do have a gray key then you could use either the 555C or the 555U doesnt matter for you bypasss. With the 555U you will need a key that you dont mind never seeing again, since this unit works by reading the resistance in a key. The 555C works by remembering the resistance for your car and you do not need that extra key.

Thank you for the clariffication. Can you point me to some manuals so I could read about the modules. Does 530T controll wndows through the databus?
I have also found something like this:
Jeep Cherokee Bypass/Interface Combo Kit (JDL-PK)
Transponder Bypass NKR & Data Bus Doorlock Alarm Interface w/ Window Roll Up Option
Transponder Bypass NKR and Data Bus Doorlock Alarm interface with windows roll up option.
Thanks again.

Follow up.It looks like JDL-PK will roll windows up with system arm and WIN-DATA alows me to roll them down and up with remote controll. Are those modules enough or 455 and 555 offer additional features?
Thanks again

Never used the JDL-PK or the WIN-DATA, I have mostly only worked with DEI products, so I really dont know much about them. With DEI products, you would need a 555(U or C), two 530T's and a 455J (dont need, but makes the install easier) to operate your windows, bypass your immobilizer, and everything.
Hope this helps, sorry I cant offer more for you.

Thanks for your help. It looks like I will go JDL-PK and WIN_DATA route.

The JDL-PK module will lock/unlock/arm/disarm and roll up all windows when armed. It will not roll down the windows and also it will bypass the sentry immobilizer.

Thanks Velocity Motors. This is cool. I can operate everything through the databus. jeep 2001 and cliffor matrix 3.5 -- posted image.

One more question. I also want the sunroof to close upon arming. Will JDL-PK do that? If not is there any other module that will do that through the data bus. I am trying to avoid hardwiring as much as possible.

Thanks everyone for your help.

The JDL-PK doesn't operate the sunroof motor unfortunately. You will need to get a window roll up module for that function and install it to the AUX channel of the system.
