I put in a Crime Stopper Remote Start W/Alarm in a 1999 Durango everything works fine except for the fact that the cars remote start turns off after opening any door on the vehicle. The security light on the dash starts flashing. I'm think the factory security system is overiding the alarms systems control. I hooked up the wire to disarm the security system but did not cut the wire that leads to the factory security. Do I cut the wire to security system?

Use the factory alarm disarm wire coming from the unit, make sure you diode isolate it. Never cut the wire for factory alarms, it may cause other problems. I think the disarm wire is the unlock wire, but I'm not sure. See the wiring diagram in this site. Always use a volt meter.

ok....gotcha covered.. you need to provide a negative pulse, through a 1.5k resistor to the lightGREEN/ orange wire in the drivers kick panel..... the resistor is what you missed. The alarm arms on lock
