i have a 98 concorde, i am putting in a remote start(commando 2200) . according to the wiring diagram it has no   security, (which i am not sure about)  which calls for a grey key if it did,(the key is not grey) but it has a flashing light on the dashboard when locked,  and if i open the door from the insidethe lights flash and the horn goes off?? i hooked up the remote and tried it. it started and ran, great, i shut it off  and tried it again but this time i open the door from the inside,  the car died and the horn and lights went off. there is a wire from the remote to hook up to factory disarm wire(-)     will this work??       when the car died i tried to start it back up, but it will not  start now, not even with the key any suggestions

There is a factory disarm wire in the driver's kickpanel. It is a lt. GREEN/ orange and requires a positive trigger to disarm. Aslo try unlock the driver's door with the key and see if you can start it.

thanks for your help

No it will not start, everything seems to work, but it will not even turn over. also confused about how to hook up the factor disarm. on the remote it reads connect to factory disarm wire (-) of the car. i put a volt meter on the disarm wire in the car and got a readin of about 6 when i turned the key to unlock the door and 0 at rest. i had the leads reversed black to disarm wire and red to ground. will i need to hook up a relay and if so how. the wiring diagram say the factory disarm is +         right now this is a minor concern. I need to figure out why the car will not start.

Yes you will need a relay. Is there any chance that the alarm's starter kill is keeping you from starting the vehicle?

Iam not sure what you mean by the alarm starter kill. When i hooked up the remote i did not hook up the starter kill or anything but the start portion of it iIwanted to see if it would start first before i hooked up anything else .

If you didn't hook it up then it is not a concern. My suggestions would to be to find the factory alarm disarm wire and send a fused +12V through it to disarm the factory alarm, or if you have the factory keyless entry remotes to hit unlock on them and see if you can start it.

No nothing, I put 12v to the disarm wire, I also tried the keyless remote nothing. When I hooked up the volt meter to the disarm wire (red to disram wire black to ground) and turned the key to unlock I got almost 7v and when I turned it to lock it was 4v I even unhooked all the wires from the remote and still nothing.

This might sound obvious, but are you sure the battery voltage is still 12 volts? If things are down to 4-7volts, things just plain ass won't work.

yes, it has 12v. Everything works ,but it will not start. It doesn't even turn over.  Someine told me that I will have to get the computer reset. I haven't had to do this before. I have diconnected every thing from the remote. Nothing. getting scary, not even my car

When you connected the remote start output wire to the veh. starter wire, could you have possibly severed it in the process? Check the veh. starter wire for 12V during start, BOTH SIDES of the connection!

Then check all fuses. Could be a starter relay fuse, or ign. fuse that supplies the starter wire.
