Hi Everyone

Thanks for all your help in my previous 2 posts. I have the RS functioning, but am questioning one quirk. When I start the car remotely, put the key in the ignition and turn it to run, the onboard diagnostic displays "Theft System Fault Detected." If you hit the reset button, the message goes away. Is this normal? It isn't interfering with the functionality of the RS, I just didn't expect the diagnostics to pickup the bypass.

it probably won't interfere with the remote start, if you already have it starting. but to keep the light from coming on there might be another ign. wire that needs powered.

Ignition 1: is PINK and, ignition 2: is WHITE in color, just so you are clear.

Thanks for the replies.

I wired Ignition1 to PINK and Ignition2 to WHITE. I think the CIC display is smart enough to know that the passkey3 is being bypassed. It must be that one second where you put in the key and turn the ignition to ON. Maybe, in that one second, it sees both keys?

can you not get a good look at the housing that goes around the key cylinder? the PK3 wires will be coming off of it, and you might be able to see where the harness goes.

The 3 black-white-yellow wires go from Theft deterrent control module to Theft deterrent exciter module. They are sensor low reference, sensor supply voltage and sensor signal.

Pin	Wire Color	Circuit No.	Function
A	WHT	1459	Security System Sensor Supply Voltage
B	YEL	1836	Security System Sensor Signal
C	BLK	1835	Security System Sensor Low Reference

This is what you want

A	ORN	240	Battery Positive Voltage
B	YEL	1836	Security System Sensor Signal
C	WHT	1459	Security System Sensor Supply Voltage
D	PPL	1807	Class 2 Serial Data-Primary

F	WHT	1390	Off/Run/Crank Voltage

H	BLK/WHT	451	Ground
J	BLK	1835	Security System Sensor Low Reference
