hey hows it going? ok i need some help with a tach that i got for my car. it is a sunpro 3.5" tach and i am hooking it up to my 95 chevrolet cavalier 2.2. i need to know where to hook up my tach wire (because i didnt have a tach in my car before) and then i need to know where to hook up the illumination wire to (so that the light turns on in the tach) and then i need to know where to hook the power wire up to.

Everything you need to know is listed below. Varify all wire colors with a DMM, prior to cutting or integration of the tach unit.

A slight correction if I may. The dash lamp wire on most all N.American-built GM products is gray. This connects the lamp to the instrument rheostat. Be sure to check with a test lamp first.

is there any way i could just hook up the 12 volt wire to somewhere in the fuse box, and then hook up the illumination wire up to the illumintaion wire on my deck (the orange one i ran to the fuze box)
