Would like to look into the line a little further, we went with Lightning when it became available direct, pricing fell quicker than that stupid smiley hear from Wallyworld. It has proven to be really good product. We have done some installs with the Us Acoustics amps and so far they have performed quite well, no failures on the ones we did install and a nice small chassis to boot, sort of like the older Soundstream e-series and Alphsonik amps.

The one you have found that is rated at 200 watts by 2 at 2 ohms this amp will supply about 100 watts rms at 4 ohms which is what the speakers you have will show the amp. I made a mistake about the 75 watt a channel amp but that one will work.

With that.. would you just hook each speaker up to its corresponding output on the amp? and it would just run @ 4 ohms?

again.. sorry.. I'm not big into stereos..

Yeah I also had great results with the us acoustic line.
Seems to be very reliable and provide fairly clean power especialy for the money.
They have extremely small mono blocks that drive most subs very well.
I am still surprised with there performance.

What on earth do you think you are doing in a car at 145 mph? let alone over the posted limit, my friend I'll help you all day long with any audio question, but when I see stupid comments like this, it makes me want to come find you and ticket you on the spot, or impound your vehicle, get the drift, if not see my friends best friends headstone. (Excessive speed killed my best friend) You are not bulletproof and if you continue on this path, you will be a statistic and probably take innocent others with you.

Find yourself any 2 channel amp that has the desired output and flexibility that you need. I happen to be able to hear a difference between amps, this is a hot topic on other forums. i would choose a good American built amp, not American owned but built in singakoreachinatiawanapore where most amps are made now. Eclipse makes a good amp for you, as does Soundstream and numerous others. Find one that is in your dollar range that offers the most flexibility. An amp that produces 75w x2 is going to be marginally quieter than an amp that produces 100w x2 and infact in some cases may actually be louder than the larger wattage amp. Amplifiers make amps, you hear in decibels, throw wattage out the window. A good high current amp is what those Focals need to do the job right.

I drive at 145 mph daily.. on my way to work and back.. in the snow in a S2000 with summer track tires on only.. well.. atleast thats what you assumed.. amp suggestions for Focal Poly 165v2 - Page 2 -- posted image.

Actually I took my car to 145 mph once to test its top speed.. at 2 am on a dead highway.. and no.. I my car hasn't seen that speed since..  I also take my car to the autocross track regularly.. so I like to think I have a fair amount of control over it..

Pro install i assume the speakers you have are 4 oms speakers .
So by installing them regualarly the amp will supply about 100 watts minimum rms power to each. Again the rating of 200 watts would be by putting 2- 4 ohm speakers in parallel to each channel.
So the hookup to the amp would be Positive wire from the crosover input to positive of amp and so on.
I believe this amp will make those focals sound good but you may want to listen first to see if you like.

FYI, Kicker is an American-owned company, but their equipment has been manufactured in China for the past few years.  Their quality has deteriorated IMO as a result.
