i installed an extreme remote start in my 1995 gmc K2500 and about 1 in every 10 times i use it the tranny will not shift out of 2nd gear. it is only an intermittent problem and i am pretty sure all the wires are connected correctly. anybody else have this problem?   please respond.

Did you hook up the secound ignition wire it is a white wire which needs to be hooked ou with either a secound relay or a secondary ignition output from the remote starter which ever you have for the remote starter you put in.

is the remote start intermittently not powering up the second ignition wire?  this is the classic symptom....

we just had a 93 blazer do the same thing except it would not shift at all and the speedo.  we checked the fuses and there was one blown in the cab.  i doubt something is blown if yours is intermittent... but maybe you have a bad solder joint on the ign wires.
