XM controls are nice, but TV tuners are usually just a selling perk. The antennas for the TV tuners are usually installed between the headliner and roof, leaving usually 5-6 channels at best (with probably 4 being Spanish).

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

I'd go with polk momo 6.5 components. I have heard the best of the best of the best of the "best" coaxials. And I would take a decent component over one of these "best" coaxials. I also think you may not be disapointed driving the speakers w/o an amp.....but I don't think you will be happy w/ the sound and the range.
