Hey...
I installed a Crimestopper 2011RS- III alarm and remote start combo into a '97 Civic. Everything works great except the following:
The alarm has 2 AUX outputs. AUX # 1 works when the remote button is pushed, and can also be programmed to unlock the car first if you're using it for the trunk release.
AUX # 2 works after a 2-second delay, so you can hook this up to a trunk release also, only it doesn't disarm the car first. So, if you don't unlock the car first, the trunk pop sets off the alarm.
I think they should have made AUX # 2 also be able to disarm the car. I'd like to keep the trunk release on AUX #2 because it has the delay, but is there still a way to have it disarm the car first? Can I hook it up to a relay to unlock the car? Only I'm not sure if it would unlock first, or do both simultanteoulsy?
Any ideas would be great! THANKS!

is there a trunk pin connected on this car?  if not, its likely the "current sense" feature seeing the trunk solenoid popping, setting it off.  turn current sense off, and you'll be fine...I'm sure they thought about how they laid out the product  :)

Do you know if it has current sense or not? I don't see it anywhere in the manual.

I did hook up a trunk-pin wire because I want the trunk to be monitored by the alarm.

If you hooked up the blue/blk wire for trunk release then you have to go to option #10 and program it to dis-arm with trunk pop!

Thanks for the suggestion, but you have to check out page 20 of the manual. I do have the trunk hooked up to the blue/black wire, yes, because it has a delay. But if you read on page 20 of the manual, that programmable option to unlock the car is only for AUX #1, the one that works without a delay.
I can't believe Crimestopper made it this way. I think it's smarter to have the trunk on the delay, but also that it would unlock the car first.

I see what you mean! Can you hook the trunk release to the grn/red wire? That seems to be the only way to do it with unlock.

The only way I can see it is if you use AUX # 1 to to the trunk release as it says in the instructions. Because of the set up of the alarm, the only way to disarm the alarm is with AUX 1 or with the unlock pulse from the remote FOB.

Ok, well thanks for the responses. I guess that's the only way I'm going to be able to do it. As it is now (which I just found out today), if the car is remotely running, and you pop the trunk, the remote starter shuts off. Go figure. I do have the trunk wire and the hood pin wire hooked up to the same input on the alarm (diode isolated), so I'm wondering if maybe that's the cause. I'm not used to the Crimestoppers, so I'm still learning these little weird things.
Thanks.
