Here is a question for you, no offence intended either, hope you don't take it that way.

Why do you want to go bandpass and do you know what it means?

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I was curious about that. Aren't there only a few speakers designed for bandpass setups. I

If your going to spend about $200-$300 i would get (1) 12w6v2 in a vented box,   thats a nice set up, i have seen people achieve mid 140's using one at full power

from what ive heard its louder an the bass travels further ( with little loss of sound quality if built right) , and i'll be usin a coustic or kicker 3 way eleltronic  crossover

i would go for seald for the soudnquality but the bass it not loud enough an doesnt travel

thats i wanna kno how good would the L5 10" play in a seald enclosure an will it play like round 12's in a bandpass

and the infinity's that i am lookin at 12" DVC kappa's work well in a bandpass enclosure thats what infinity says

What do you mean "the bass dosnt travel". Unless you have a 12" sub at the back of a school bus I dont think you should have a problem with the bass as you call it "traveling". If you have a bandpass box it makes your subs super effecient (very sensitive) and they usually move alot of air because of all the ports on them. ohh yeah ,they are usually one of the loudest enclosures if built properly. My friend has a bandpass box in his jeep and since he listens to rap it dosnt sound that bad(while also providing secondary air conditioning) but I really prefer a sealed or ported over a bandpass. And dont go with Kciker or Infinity. Look at JL's W6v2 12" or 10" sub. They would have way better SQ while still playing loud even in a sealed box.

Bandpass boxes are the most efficient, but also enormous.  They are nowhere near as forgiving when it comes to size as say, a sealed box.  The roll off is much faster than with a sealed or ported box, meaning not near as flat a response even in the car.  You must keep this in mind when constructing, so you can have the peaky punch right where you want it- if you choose to go this route.  I'd suggest a vented enclosure for you.  Those Infinitys sound better to my ears than the Kickers do.  Either way, those bad boys'll get down.
