I have installed a Honet (DEI) Remote Start/Alarm. I have noticed that after the remote start remotely turns off after 12 mins.  the alarm goes off. I believe it doing this because I did not hook up the dome light supervision from the alarm. I had a hard time finding the door trigger wire so I did not bother looking for this wire since everything I read said there was 3 different wires and I had none of them. I did find 1 yellow wire in the pass. kick panel that worked with all the doors and hatch. I was wonding if this wire will control my dome light supervision. Also if this is the cause of the alarm going off after the remote start turns off.

If anyone can fill me in that would be great. Also can I remove the factory brain? We I disconnected it nothing in the car worked. If it is not possible then no biggy but every once in a while it activates and I have to use the factory remote to turn it off. Thanks for all your help.

You may want to put a diode on that wire. So it wouldn't kick back to the alarm. But other than that you shouldn't have a problem with your alarm going off.

Diode on what wire? Is the yellow wire I am using the right wire I should be using for the door trigger? And is it ok to hook the dome light supervision to it (I have not yet done)?

Dome  Lights/Superv:

Tan & Tan/Blue (-)

Keyless module above radio

Must diode isolate. Tan wire is the door trigger for the Drivers door and the Tan/Blue is for all other doors.

you dont need to disconnect the factory unit just leave it in there cause more than alrm wiring runs through there.
