I have an 89 BMW 735i and I just got two 12" 1000w each performance technique 5712 DX with 1200w ICBM 779 amp but ive heard pts isnt a good brand for subs. What are good subs? I dont know much about systems but I paid 500 for it installed. Did i get ripped off? and also what r good speakers for inside the car and what kind of amp should i get for them. i know the big question is how much am i willing to spend but if someone can help me in giving me examples of price ranges from the most expensive to the mid range. i want to to know what would be good subs with amp and speakers with amp and what is mid bass.

.......and for head unit i have a Pioneer DEH-1500 CAR 50

for one, you just cahnge the head unit, thats pioneers lowest end deck, if you just changed up to like a pioneer deh-p440 or 400 or somehting like that, you would notice a huge change in your sound of your stock speakers, and even in your subs, i just purchased the alkpine pxa-h700 sound processor, and i couldn;t believe the difference it made on my subs, amazing, it was like adding another 1000 watt rms amp!

those performace teknique are sleepers though. i heard 4 of the aluminum  dvc 12's and they hit pretty much every freq. you could throw at them.Pete - SPL Enterprise Inc.

i had run two of the aluminum dvc 12's off the performance ibcm774 anp in a 89 chevy beretta and it sounded awesome considering i only paid 250 for all 3 pieces......the louder the better !!!!!!
