I was wondering what kind of tricks you guysare using to make fiberglass/resin stick on plastics. just curious. thanks

Rough up the surface of the plastic and drill holes ( small holes ) so that the resin runs into these holes . This will allow the project to grab into the mold of the door better. Another way to do it is to have tabs or panel connectors fiberglassed into the project and then drill out the hole where they will fit into the plastic.
