hello i am installing 2 10 " subs in my dads montana (van) i have some questions.

My amp has hi level inputs, so can i take the wire from the rear speaker and send the + - to the amp AND the rear speaker?? My dad wants to keep the factory headunit because he likes the steering wheel controls so a new unit is no option.

any suggestions??

Yes, you  can connect the high-level inputs to the rear speakers and keep the rear speakers connected.  No problem.
