As you are in the UK, what name brands of equipment can you purchase where you live?

For SPL a ported enclosure is in your future.

jbl1200.1 is a good amp that has a very good price that would be a good amp 4 you. keep the kenwoods if you already have them. if "YOU" think they sound good then it does not matter what any one else thinks. good luck on your project.

well if no body is goin to put a suggestion in for differest subs, there are plenty of good ones out there, on this forum we seem to praise Eclipse, i personally love my eclipse aluminum, but you could go with Memphis hpos, kicker L7's even some JL w6s if your lookin to spend 2 grand max
