well th@s them, i'm just lookin 4 a model number 4 u but i thinkin the amp i must get had 2 be 6 channel if i want 2 power all the speakers, e.g the above 4 and the sub (bridge 2 channels for the sub) or a 4 channel to power the 2 rear speakers and the sub (again bridge 2 channels for the sub)

plz tell me if i'm wrong, th@s just my thinkin from what i've read up on, and the watts per channel is another problem 4 me How to fit a sub onto a Sony xr-4800 unit - Page 2 -- posted image.

ok, so once again you've lead me astray.  Those 5" speakers can be run from your deck, so all you need is one amp for the sub.  You still need to find out if you can just splice into the rear outputs or if you'll need to use them entirely for the LOC.  My guess is that you would experience some signal loss if you did splice and used the rear deck outputs for the LOC and the 5" speakers. 

Something else to consider is your deck.  If it doesn't have RCA outs it probably doesn't have a remote turn-on.  This can be overcome by splicing into an accessory wire from your car and running that to the amp's remote input.

right, those are the ones that you would typically use with your deck.  Hopefully someone else will be able to clarify the LOC issue so you can get started on your upgrade.  Good luck, and I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help.
