I too would go with a cap first in this case, I agree with Dyohn, this is one of the few circumstances that warrant a cap may actually be a viable option and solve a identified problem.

 Now the only outstanding question is.........

Distro Block powers:   LCD, 2 small amps, power inverter.  Should I use the cap before the distribution block or after between the block and the amp.

Ideally I  would have it between the block and the amp.
