The blue wire on the harness is connected to the pink and black wire...and when you set off the trunk it show the hood on the lcd....and the hood pin is the gray wire when the hood is open it also shows the hood on the lcd.....any  feed back apprieciated

The blue wire is an instant trigger wire. That should be hooked up to your trunk pin switch.

Thats how i have it an it shows that the hood when the trunk is open

as long as the blue wire in the main harness is getting a (-) trigger it should show tunk.  try arming the alarm and touching the blue wire to ground and see what it triggers.  then on then remote start harness (5-pin connector, starting with blue/white and ending with BLACK/ white) take the grey wire and try touching that right to ground.

if any of those fail to report to the remote properly, check the LED light and see if that is reporting the right zone.  if the LED is wrong too, the brain isnt getting something triggered right.

It sounds the set up is okay you should try and program your LCD remote. The DEI LCD remotes you have to press all four buttons to enter the program features of the remote, from here you just follow the instruction in the manual to set up the trunk and hood icons.
