Eclipse CD8454 vs. Alpine CDA-9815

DYohn, I hear ya on the Box effecting SQ and also about the double amping. What do you mean though about losing the remote and power feed to it? If you use a factory harness adapter (I am using the ones at www.enfig.com), then it still gets its power and remote turn on. In fact, I don't think that box is even powered by the remote of the HU anyways, I think its just switched power........ As far as swapping out the speakers and keeping the "box", the thing is, the box has those wacky impedence ratings (4ohm to front highs, mids, rear highs, and 2ohms to rear mids). I am sure the box will go eventually and the factory speakers as well, and the re-wiring will get done too. But dropping $1100+ on the sub amp, stealthbox, $500 on Eclipse HU, and $100 in wiring *now*, doesn't leave me much room to do much else at this time........not trying to botch it, but there are limits to living out my OCD. If I did re-wire, I would leave the stock wiring in place, since its like factory harness type stuff, and just disconnect it, so I could put it all back if I ever had to go that route.
