Wiring Dual voice coil subs

My original SYstems is not the greeatest but it BUMBpz

anyways i bought two 12" volfenhag subs ZX-4712DVX

and just switched the subs. it sounded weak. no thump at all.  i mean it works. but does not have that deep rolling bass. I mean its weak.

they are brand new.. un opened box till now.

since they are dual voice coil do i have to wire it differently?

how do you currently have them wired? series parallel, or parallel parallel.

It is possible you have one voice coil out of phase.

what do you mean out of phase?

and i have the wires. hooked up like this

chan 1 : amp + to woofer +  , amp - to sub -

chan 2 : amp + to woofer +  , amp - to sub -

You say these subs are dual voice coil.  How are the SECOND voice coils connected?

I think thats your problem is that you need to wire the second voice coils....

what are the speakers ohm rating? and the amp what is it stable at ?

so u went with the volfenhag subs hu.well there are digrams on here that are helpful. i'm getting some infinity 12's dyohn got me going on these:) i'm glad u got what u wanted an not what other people wanted u to get.

the second voice coils are not connected at all.

are they 4ohm or 2ohm?

they are 4 ohm sub woofers that can do 2oh, 4ohm , or 8 ohm thats wut it saids
