Where can I buy relays with diodes in them, partexpress has the harness with the diode in it, but I'm not sure it will work for my application. I want to try to get a perimeter zone sensor, to work on a single stage alarm. It says 5 pin, but does it actually have 5 wires out the back or just 3 wires and a diodes jumping to two pins like the picture shows?

Anybody? Or do people pry off the cap of the relay and solder in thier own diode?

They don't put the diode inside, you use one on the exterior pins.

I see, thank you, you solder them to the pins or splice them into the wires?

actually there are relays with a diode across the coil within the relay. Thats why it is a good habbit to get into by always using pin 85 for ground in case the relay did have a diode in it. But if the relay does not have a diode just put it on the coil yourself no need to go into relay!!!
