Just bought a pair of tweeters and I am planning on hooking them up using the door speakers as well ( just low range ) while putting the tweeters on the dash for a little better sound. They are cap filtered with +- in and +- out of little filter box. How would I go about wiring these tweeters up? Should I just wire them parralel with the existing speakers? (ex. cutting wire to other speaker and making a 3 way splice in the dash. )

Wiring them in parallel should be fine. Are you sure you want to put them on your dash? You might want to try putting a long wire on them and listen to them mounted on different locations up front (like around your door panel and different places on your dash).

Yeah, My basic idea was to use the angled mounts they came with, and try a few different places first. Most likely will put them on either far side of the dash ( back toward the windshield ).

I spliced the wires behind the deck and connected one of the tweeters a few minutes ago, It cuts off the low on the other speaker.. /shrug/ so in essence i only have the one tweeter instead of a tweeter and a low.

hmm.. are all your connections secure? It might be too low of impedance for your head-unit to handle. Is it an aftermarket or stock one?
