Ok so I put dynamat on the trunk lid, but its STILL rattles!!! .... Where else should I put it/ does this look like its right..... lol its only the 2nd time I've put it on ... I think the rattles may be coming from the wiring in the trunk lid... which puts me S.O.L. since I just covered it all up with dynamat... heres a pic

I also noticed that the paint was cracking on the outside of the trunk.. almost like stress lines.. but not on anywhere else on the car.. has anyone ever heard of that?? is that just from weather or is it from the trunk vibrating so damn much??? thanks...

The part of the trunk where the license plate is bolted is thin,   It rattles a lot on my Taurus.  Did you get that area?

How would one go a bout doing that?? I have tightened screws etc... but I dont know what/where the bumpstops are...??

most, if not all trucks have rubber stops on the trunk that keep the trunk from actually hitting the car body. go out but tougher ones and replace the stock ones. also if you lower the locking mechanise it will achieve a tighter fit on the stops.
