So i want to install my own alarm. I have a viper 791 vx going into a dodge ram single cab. I have installed my own system in my truck which consists of a Kenwood 911 HU Jlaudio 1000/1 450/4 amps and 13w7 subwoofer.
I have found all the locations of the wires for the alarm but my mind just blanks out when it starts talking about relays and diodes and resistors. I have read the car security section in this site.
What i would like from you installers is more info on relay s and diodes. Bascially alarm installs guides.
I have tried to get it proffsionally installed but the shops are charging me $300 and up. I e-mailed an installer from the installer database that is from Vegas.
All i have is $150.The rest of the money is for bills rent, lunch you know. GAS!! omg the gas is expensive here $2.12 average 0_0.
Any help is appreciated.

Just goto DEI's website and get the wiring diagrams. I installed my Clifford 700IQ into my '91 Civic but the door lock function was messed up. However, everything else works fine. Needless to say I'm looking into a replacement. Anyway I hope this helps and let me know what happens....
Just another tidbit of info...this was my first alarm install too...I've done a few "basic" radio and amplifier installs and thought I wouldn't be able to do it...

Ok cool.
When relays are asking for 12 volt constant fused. There is 4-5 relays asking for this same line. How? I cant tap into it, cuz ive read no to tap into the 12 volt line.
