Oh, so you want a shallow mounting depth.

Illusion Audio makes some really nice shallow mount subs.

I've been comparing specs on kole audio and big name brand equipment. We've been working with Kole Audio for about a month. You should check them out. the 10" mounting depth is 3.75" in 1cubic foot sealed box. Friend installed two of these under the back seats of Ford Crewcab tonight. Their amps arn't to bad either.

How did it sound? i mean i want something to hit hard but i mostly listen to rock so i don't really need all that head pounding bass, i just want some nice beefy bass to go along with my door speakers.

I think they sound great. I'm a rock and roller myself, no rap! you, the installer can make them sound anyway you want. we try to use or build enclosures to match the woofers. building a tight sealed box for these babies. we also like to use amps a little larger in wattage output and then turn their gain down. pushing an amp to it's max creates distortion and shortens it life. it takes a little discipline not to crank it to the max. my friend just blew four mid's because he had to crank it up a little more, little more. I'm going to have to install fuses on each of his speaker. there's also the adjustment of lfilters, boosting a desired frequency, designing a passive filter, etc. listen to a variety of music, make a test cd will make this go quicker, then change the setting and repeat. for this takes longer than installing the hardware.
