I'm going to get an indash dvd player and flipout monitor, but my brother has one and the GUI looks real ugly.  I really like the user interface of the new pioneer AVIC N1, and I think it's a real nice deck.  But the only thing is they say you can't watch dvd's on the front seat monitor while your driving.  I know with other decks you can just make the deck think the ebrake on, but this deck has those vehicle guages for like speed and stuff.  So does anyone know if you can easily fool the AVIC N1 into thinking I'm parked? And if so can I still use the speed and acceleration guages.  If not what other decks have nice looking GUI's

Yes, the AVIC-N1 will work without the brake on, all you have to do is ground the wire that is supposed to go to the parking brake.  Everything else will work just fine.  I have this same unit in my truck and love it!
