i agree with the suggestion of marine speakers just because golf cars are exposed to the elements and aren't usually the cleanest vehicles you see daily..i guess there is a difference if you are using the cart for a system... like if the cart will become only a fair weather vehicle or sorts then you would have more choice in the speakers you used and how crazy you got with the system..addind batteries and extra chargers and such.

the easiest way to do this, whether it's gas or electric, is to add an external battery or two, depending on the amount of equipment you plan on using.  that way all of your audio equipment is running off of the batteries and not the carts engine power.  all you have to do is charge the batteries before you plan on using them and they will hold a charge for a good while.  just think of it as a huge ice chest radio.  me and a friend of mine are getting ready to bag our cart on some 17" motegi racing rims, it's gonna be bad!!!!!  but we have a pair of 10's, a 6 1/2 component set, 2 amps, a head unit, PS2, and tv and were doing 4 batteries.

actually i don't have a lot of time on my hands seeing as i work 7 days a week 12 hours a day, we work on it at night.  and we use it for car shows and parties and just stupid sh*t.
