I like to add another amp to my headunit to drive another set of speakers. I hooked up my amp with the RCA output of my headunit. Where do I hook up the other amp? Headunit is only 2 channel.

Sounds like the cd player has on ly 1 set of preouts. Does either amp have a set of pass through rca outputs?

You can either split the output or get a good crossover from someone like audio control. Their 24xs would be a good choice for just two amps (like a sub amp and an amp for your mids and highs).

A crossover or eq will give you a better sound quality  because it'll give your amps a cleaner signal.  If that is not in the works then splitting the signal with a couple Y adapters will do the trick.  But if you plan on doing this so you can run mids and highs  (interior speakers) with another amp , then your head units fader control is useless.  You could add a remote fader to control that part and be ok.  But I say save your money for a crossover or eq (or both) if you want better SQ .
