The new Malibu's have both Passlock II and Passkey III (transponder). Yeah thats right! They incorporated a transponder in the key for an factory immobilizer. Contrary to popular thought, the car won't start when acc. power is lost after ignition and acc are turned on. The car's computer must see the correct Passlock signal and only then will the car's starter be activated. The best option is to use a transponder based bypass for the key and a bypass designed for the Saturn Ion or new Colorado's for the Passlock II portion. It gets tricky, but it can be done.

Ok tried this tonight, and the thing just turns on all the accesories, and the remote start thinks that it is started.

Ok, so I did the following last night, and Also connected the 555U when I do the remote start, it turns on everything in the car, Radio, A/C, Etc, but it doesn't actually start the car, no crank, Another thing that I thought was strang was that I had the "White" wire cut, had pin 87a connected, the "WHITE/ black" wire connected, and ground connected, and it started with the key without pin 30 going to the BCM side.

Also I tried this with a key sitting in the ignition as well just to make sure it wasn't the 555U

you dont use a 555u all you need is to follow your diagram and use a 5% 300ohm resistor

I tried with and without, same result, what gets me is the fact that that wire was cut, and it still started

Ok, got it in and working, only one thing........when I tried to use 300 Ohm resistor it did not work, so I tested the key sense, and it ended up being 1.3K Ohm at crank, so just a heads up, test the keysense wire for resistance, acourding to DEI it SHOULD have been 300 Ohms fixed on the Malibu's
Thanks for all the help guys!!!
