The hx2 is just a hair more sensitive and can take 100 more watts. It will sound great even though its not getting its "rated" rms max. The HE2 is a great match for that sub amp. One of the other differences between the two subs is the surround. HX2 has rubber as the HE2 has foam. I've had both of these subs and loved them both. I still have my 2 12" HX2's and after 2 years they are still pounding. I'd go with which ever one you can afford.
