I have 4 different wire colors that I can attach to my speakers in my 1992 Chrysler LeBaron.  I don't know which ones are positive or negative and which ones work the best.  There is a grey wire, a black wire, a green wire, and a red wire and they all make the speakers work in my door.  I dont know which two to use.  Help me please

in all cars the dark wire or darker wire is gonna be the hot or positve wire on the speakers but if you wanna check the polarity of your speakers take a battery and grab both wires.  use a 9 volt batt and put the wire to it if the speaker pops out then the wire on the pos side is the hot wire if it pops in then it is the neg wire

This is not true. Chevy's for example, the front speaker's positive are the lighter colored wires.
