You guys rock!!!! I am truly amazed, I grounded the black wire from the 555L to a chassis ground instead of tapping into the orange black ground reference wire, and it worked like a dream. Now I can quit scratching my head and move on to the next one. I definitely wont let this get past me again!

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate it, hope I can help one of you out in the future sometime.
