im gonna get an AVIC-N1 on friday and in the future, i want to add a computer to my ride. the question is, can the avic be interfaced with the comp?? is there a way to make the comp come up on the avic screen and have the touchscreen work for the comp??
thanks in advance.

whoops, no the touch screen will not control the computer, but you get an RF mouse or trackball and have it operate the computer. But what do you need from the computer that the AVIC doesn't have?

Why get a AVIC-N1 a computer can do all that including the setup for way window looks. There are programs specificaly designed for having just a computer in the vehicle.  You can even have a touch screen... for much much cheaper.

There are sw available out there that can make your pc (assuming windows) in order to make it touch-screen compatible.

Do a search for it.~
