Hi all, I'm new to the forums.  I'm installing a 560xv in my 96 yukon and had some questions I thought maybe someone here could help me with.  This is my first time installing one of these also.  The alarm part went perfect, it was actually easier than I thought.  The remote start, and window modules is a WHOLE different story.  I found the right wires and I wired everything like it says in the manual, but;

1.  In the manual the neutral safety switch wire should be at ground in park/neutral.  I found the two wires at the column(a black and a grn/wht) but the grn/wht wire reads 12v+ in park/neutral and 0 in gear.

2. All the relay satellite wires were connected like the book says but I get no start manually or remote.  I tested each of the wires in the ignition harness and there the correct wires.

3.  The window modules are wired to the right wires in the correct configuration but I get nothing even with the resistance set to zero.  (I saw a FAQ in the forum on the 530t that stated you needed a diode on the ground when armed so I'll try that and see what happens first.)

I've been doing this every chance I got for the last three days and me (and my wife) are getting tired of it.  Any help would be great.  I really don't want to pay 600$ for someone to install it when I've done all the hard work.

As far as the neutral safety wire, you can use THIS
and that will give you one way to do it.

If you go ahead and ground out the neutral saftey wire from your alarm, does the remote start work?

thanks for the link, I was going to look for that this afternoon.  I haven't tried grounding the safety, so I'll try this afternoon.

Grounded the safety wire, nothing.  It's strange because the truck won't start even with the key.  It says to cut the starter wire and connect one wire from the relay to the starter side and one the the ignition side.  Everything else works fine, the dash lights up like it should then I turn the key and nothing.  Still haven't tried the windows again yet.

Probe the green wire from the relay satellite when you turn the key to start, and see if you have voltage. If you get voltage there when you turn the key, try the purple wire and do the same thing. If you aren't getting any voltage there then there is probably something wrong with the relay satellite.   If you find juice on the green(key) side and nothing on the purple(starter) side then I would take the starter wire(yellow??) and reconnect it until you can figure what is bad and fix it or get a replacement.

Right on, thanks for the input.  I have the green to the key side and purplet to the starter.  I'll test them now.

I tested the two and sure enough the green has voltage, and the purple has none.  I have no idea why.  Is there any way to test the satellite or open it up and see if it's jacked or what?  I got it online from etronics so I don't know how it would work to try and return it.   Is it possible that I fried it, and if so how would that have happened?  I sound like a 5 yr old but if anyone has any opinions let me know please.  Thanks again.

On the remote start ribbon harness, disconnect it from the alarm, and take wire #5 the purple one and ground it with the ignition on and see if that will start it.
