depending on what fuse you have in the amp, you may want to put a 40a fuse in your power line instead of a 30a

what fuse or fuses are currently in your amp? you may need to upgrade your fuse holder if you can't find a fuse.

the fuses that are on the back of my are (2) 40 amp orange blade fuse

the fuse under my hood that is about 35" away from my battery terminal

is a green 30a fuse blade.

i'm kidding about my fuse holder being 35" away from battery terminal its really 48" away
nah i'm kidding again ahha its only 17"

well with two 40a fuses on the amp the company is suggesting that the amp can pull up to 80a which would most likely require a different fuse holder due to the fact that maxi fuses don't go up to any where near the 80a range, sorry i mis-lead you with a 40a fuse earlier i was looking at the specs for the wrong amp.

Yeah so my best chance is to cut the current fuse holder and just attatch a agu fuse holder with a 60a amp agu fuse. and everything will most likely work fine?

yes that will work, i would suggest an 80a agu fuse to coinside with the two 40a maxi on your amp.
