Here are two sites that really helped me install my mirrors.

http://students.washington.edu/kristic/honda/jdm/mirrors/mirrors.htm

http://www.geocities.com/dwnlow91/JDMmirror.html

My favorite way so far having them setup is using the DPDT relay they recomend on the first page I listed and connected the mirror signal to my handbrake light switch. The only problem that I came across doing this is that the brake light on the dash is dimmly lit. Not enough to see during the day but bright enough at night to bug me. To get rid of this I'm going to try and hook up a normal SPDT relay to it and see if that doesn't get rid of that bugger. I tried using a diode to direct the current only to the relay but the light still stay lit.

Another problem you may find with the mirrors is the driverside has the convex mirror. I simply went to an automotive glass shop and for 10 bucks had a normal mirror made. That and some of the strongest all-weather double sided 3m tape I could find.

Hope this helps.

Master4666,

Thanks for the info on these two sites, unfortunately I have already looked at these 2 already, and nothing is helping me at this point-(maybe group therapy would do). But like ForthGenHatch said, if you guys could just come up with a wiring diagram or a detailed drawing of it, that would be great, and thanks a lot to velocitymotors for your contributions too.

BTW, the power folding mirrors for the 92-96 prelude are lens exchangable, so for those of you who have the USDM ones just pop them off by slowly pulling from the BOTTOM to the TOP-they will just pop right off!! Then you can just snap them on from TOP to BOTTOM on the JDM mirrors. I am not sure if this works for any of the other Honda mirror sets, but I do know that this worked for me on my bb2-bb4 prelude. I hope this bit of info helps!

When I hook mine up I want them to work just like they do in Japan as in folding in when I press the fold in button. I guess I will have to wait until I get the mirrors and see what the switch looks like before I will ever understand this.

Do you have the control module for the mirrors ? If so you don't need the wiring for the relays. The relays will just replace the module function.

The guy who sold them to me said no relay is included, so I need to rig up something I guess.

I have now resorted to not using any relays whatsoever, I am just taking diodes and a 12v 20amp DPDT toggle switch and rigging it up another way!!!!....So what I won't get to use my JDM stwich, no biggie!!! A small price to pay to use the mirrors.

Ok I got them today and I see that the fold button does not lock in like I thought it would when you press it in. So in theory to get them to work you would have to build something that when you press it once it locks a relay one way, and when you press it again it locks it the other way.
If no one has an idea how to get that to work than I'm just going to rig up a toggle that has 4 prongs so i can just swap the negs and positives so it folds when i press it one way and unfolds when i do it the other way.

FourthGenHatch,

Thats exactly what I did, I bought a 12v 20amp DPDT toggle switch from radio shack (make sure you get the one that doesn't stick; they carry 2, and they both say momentary, and one should be latching and one should travel right back to the middle/off when you let go). The switch has 6 prongs. I hope that this helps, I will try to post a diagram later on.

That diagram helps a lot, I will use that to hook them up.
