I got a switch just like you had except its only a 6amp switch because all the other switches were huge and it would be hard to integrate into the dash. I got 2 regular relays because they are 30amp I figured I could run the power to those or something. Anyone had an idea how I can hook this up using relays to basically hold the power so I don't fry the switch.

I was told that I did not need any sort of diodes, relays, or resistors. I just wired in a 20amp fuse to the +12v. FYI-the RadioShack part number for that switch is: 275-709. It works great with insulated female crimp-on connectors.

I figured out how it can be wired up with 2 relays and it was actually pretty simple. Im going to install them today and I'll post up a diagram on here later.

I used the same kind of switch you used, the 6 prong momentary contact one except I just only hooked it to one half of the switch. All you need is a 3 prong one but its hard to find such a variety of switches...

Saturday night I was trying to figure out how to make a circuit with 2 relays that would work and I was positive I could with perhaps one being negative and one positive or something. Than Sunday morning I wake up and first thing I do is pick up a piece of paper and jot down this idea I had and it turned out it worked.
