Which subs would sound better and take more power?

Eclipse Aluminum 8122 DVC or Diamond Audio M612D4?

Those subs are close but my preference would be the eclipse

agreed with Soccer_aholic. I would tend to lean in the Eclipse direction as well.

If this is for a client, choose Eclipse for higher SPL, Diamond for higher SQ in my opinion. But as the others have said, these two are very comparable. If this is for personal use, you should really listen to them both in an installation and decide which one you like more.

I don't have the luxury of listening to the Diamond Audio sub's...That is why I was asking...
