My 03 explorer has only the dual media stereo radio, with the low line speakers and no amp or sub.  I want to upgrade to the 6-disk in dash cd, and speakers, and need help with the wiring.  I have put a 6-disk in for a test, but because I only have the two connecters in the back ( and not the one that goes to the sub amp), I have no bass at all.  Does Ford make an upgradable 6-disk in dash that uses my 2 connector wiring harness, and if so, what is the part number.  Or, how about some kind of adapter that plugs into the three connecter locations in the back on the 6-disk stereo, that adapts it to my 2 connecter harness.)  Or, can I get the connector that runs from the sub connector in the back of the radio, and run seperate wires straight to the speakers.  I do want to add amp(s) and a sub, but at a later time.  Help me, Please!

Terry

Radios and More is the source you want.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Crutchfield sells such a connector for the Ford Visteon CD6 indash changer.  I don't know their part number but give them a call and they'll help you out.
