The MB Quart subs would be my next choice, glassing a box for a Subaru WRX and a Reference 10" right now.

But I'm only doing 1 sub in my truck, if I were doing multiple subs I would do the Quarts. Since I'm only doing 1 I wanna put something in that will be LOUD for only one sub.

On a side note, I just started glassing a box for my girlfriends Sonata. Gonna do just a single 10 or 12 (depending on the air space when Im done with it). Im still undecided on what sub to do though. Im either gonna do a Lightning Audio Strike 2 channel or a new Rockford Punch 2 channel. Either amp will be about 300x1 rms.

Sounds like you have never heard a Ref 10" in a ported box before. MAke the box 1.25 cu.ft with a 6"x1"x6" slot port. Should land you in the upper 130db range and sound just fine doing it.

Your right, I havent. One of our installers has 2 Reference 10"s in a sealed box running off of the same amp I wanna do and they sound very good. Not the loudest Ive heard, but excellent SQ. What about  a Premium 12"???

Wait. I just realized you said a 10", not a 12".  A 10" in a 1.25 cu. ft box!?!?!????  Isnt that a little big?  I still wanna get some SQ out of it even though it is gonna be a slot port box.

Update..........I got thinking and now I might change the plans for the system. I'm still gonna do just a single 10" or 12" where the middle seat is, keep the same amp, and 6 1/2" components. But now I think I'm gonna do a 6 1/2" or 8" mid bass driver off of a 2nd Strike 2-channel amp. Remember, this is going into a 1997 Dodge Ram standard cab. What would give me the best sound, mid bass drivers in the door and components in the kicks? Or comp. in the doors and mid bass drivers in the kicks?  Or rework my door panel and do all of the in the door?

Also, I wanna try to setup the mid bass drivers to run bandpass.
