'98 tahoe, rattle in barn doors

Anyone have any suggestions to remove the rattle in the barn doors of a '98 tahoe? It seems to be an issue of the doors being a little loose when closed but I cant figure out any way to tighten the doors to each other to prevent them rattling against each other.

Add or replace the weather striping on the doors.(owner/installer)

Presuming, since this is a car audio forum, that you have a subwoofer back there....if the rattling occurs with the sound pressure and frequencies of the subs, do you have dampening material on that sheet metal?Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

The rattling is do to the fact that two doors rattle against each other, and not cause of the metal of the doors itself. The weather stripping might be the solution, but I dont seem it will solve the problem. Basically, the problem goes away when I push against the doors so they don't have room to move in and out. If you've seen the barn doors on suburbans/tahoes, you'll know that one door latches into the other to lock. I just need to find a way to get the doors to close a bit tighter rather than having that little bit of give from the door hinging on the other.

you can move the actual locking mechanism, the latch and the "pin" (the name is illuding me due to intoxication) just move them farther apart and the doors will be pulled closer together when lock, but will require move effort to actually latch. Quad L Handyman services
