hey guys i just bought a brand new cd player and i hooked up the wires the right place and everything was fine then i cranked up my volume to like around 40 then i reach my max watts so, the cd player turns off. I turn off my car and my cd player goes on but theres no sound anymore, i looked to see if any of the wires were touching and everything was ok.

I would throw in your stock radio just to see if you get sound out of that. if you do, u know it's not the speakers. then double check the wiring. If that if correct then it might be a problem with the internal amp. go exchange it.

if the cd player turns on still, it wouldn't be a fuse, unless the actual unit has one. double check the back of it. other then that, you might have just gotten a bad unit. cranking the system would blow the amp or the speakers before the headunit.

Did you use it with the stock speakers or did you replace them?  How many ohms are the speakers?  What car?  Did you use a wiring harness adapter?
